Status: IN LIEN RESOLUTION - CERTIFIED
Abstract: This data collection contains the calibrated images taken by the LICIACube Unit Key Explorer (LUKE) instrument flown aboard the cubesat LICIACube deployed by the Double Asteroid Redirection Test (DART) spacecraft. LUKE images are of the DART impact with the asteroid Dimorphos and of ejecta plume evolution after impact. These images have been calibrated to radiance and have been put into a 3D FITS format. Ancillary files used in the calibration process are included in the data set in 3D FITS format. The DART mission was a planetary defense mission designed to test and measure the deflection caused by a kinetic impactor (the DART spacecraft) on the orbit of Dimorphos asteroid around its primary, (65803) Didymos. The LICIACube spacecraft is supported by the DART mission via NASA Contract No. 80MSFC20D0004.
