Raw Images for the Didymos Reconnaissance and Asteroid Camera for OpNav (DRACO) instrument, Version 1.0

PDS Identifier: urn:nasa:pds:dart:data_dracoraw::1.0

Status: Final Publication Preparation

DOI: 10.26007/QW9T-PM42

Abstract: This data collection contains the raw images returned by the Didymos Reconnaissance and Asteroid Camera for Optical navigation (DRACO) instrument flown aboard the impactor spacecraft of NASA's Double Asteroid Redirection Test (DART) mission. These images have been put into a simple 2D FITS format ready for calibration and analysis. The DART mission was a planetary defense mission designed to test and measure the deflection caused by a kinetic impactor (the spacecraft) on the orbit of Dimorphos asteroid around its primary, (65803) Didymos.

This collection has been reviewed, edited, and submitted for final archiving and publication, which is in progress.
If you need to access the data prior to that publication, please contact Ludmilla Kolokova (lkolokol at umd.edu) at the Small Bodies Node.
