Data Set Overview ================= This data set contains calibrated images of the LICIACube target, asteroid system composed by (65803) Didymos and its secondary Dimorphos, taken during its science phase. The observations were made using the LICIAcube Unit Key Explorer (LUKE) wide field RGB camera, at a resolution varying up to 4.3 m/px. Scientific results can be found in Dotto & Zinzi, 2023, DOI: https://doi.org/10.1038/s41467-023-38705-0. Parameters ========== The images are supplied as a 32-bit per pixel, MSB, floating point, FITS file. The RGB images are reported as 3 plane FITS cube, 1 for each filter. Observational parameters for each image are incorporated into the PDS labels and FITS headers. Processing ========== The following description was extracted from the lcc_leia-luke_sis.pdf SIS document, urn:nasa:pds:liciacube:document:lcc_leia-luke_sis. Additional details are in the SIS. All observations are calibrated data reported in units of [W * m^-2 * nm^-1 * sr^-1]. Additional information includes: integration time, time of acquisition, observation geometry and relevant housekeeping data. The RGB pattern is reconstructed in the images by de-bayerizing the raw pixel values using a standard algorithm for the RGB of the LUKE detector. Data ==== Images are supplied as FITS files with headers produced by the ASI-SSDC LICIACube SOC processing software, with detached PDS labels generated by ASI-SSDC LICIACube SOC. The images (in physical units) are contained in 32 bit per pixel, floating point, FITS files. The raw data originally downlinked from the spacecraft has been converted to physical units following the process described in the asi_liciacube_leialuke_calibration_pipeline_description.pdf Calibration Pipeline Document, urn:nasa:pds:liciacube:document:asi_liciacube_leialuke_calibration_pipeline_description In addition, the FITS header contains UTC data and start time, exposure time, and a series of other keywords described in the SIS. The FITS keywords referred to quaternions are not valid for data acquired on Sept. 26 2022 (i.e., during the autonomous tracking phase of the S/C), as the correct S/C attitudes has been evaluated a posteriori and stored in the dedicated SPICE kernels. The FITS keywords referred to CORT_UTC and COTJDAT have accuracy ranging from 0.5 to 1 seconds. Confidence Level Overview ========================= Data have been converted to phisycal units. The calibration process, errors and confidence level is described by Della Corte et al., 2022 (See References below).
