     This information file is located in the AST_HIST directory, which        
contains the complete "ancient ephemeris" for comet P/Halley for the 1835-1836
and 1909-1911 apparitions.  The data were generated by Donald K. Yeomans as   
described in both the Astrometry Appendix file and the short write-up in the  
EPHEM directory.  For each apparition there exists separate table (.TAB) and  
header (.HDR) files; because each is padded to a multiple of 2880 bytes, upon 
concatenation the resulting file will be a true FITS table file.  PDS label   
files have also been included.
