NGIMS I & T Brassboard Test Telecon September 20, 2001 Attendees: Mike Colby John Maurer Florence Tan Plan: 1. Brassboard to APL on Tuesday Sept 25 2001 for pre-test setup in pink room. 2. Brassboard, NEGSE and SCSIM hook up. 3. Test system on stand-alone mode. 4. Wipe down and move brassboard into cleanroom. 5. Do safe-to-mate test. 6. If can power off spacecraft, and if Ryan's software ready, test TM telemetry software. 7. If not, we postpone and wait for MC's call on when spacecraft can be powered up. Plan on Wed am for call back. MC indicated best time is early morning prior to Spacecraft turn on. 8. Group to have a meeting after setup if required. 9. Brassboard will be left at APL and tests that cannot be run during test period can be run later (Oct/Nov) Functional tests: 1. Turn instrument on 2. Command instrument to turn TM on 3. Run functional test (10 minutes) 4. Leave instrument in Default Science mode for measurements etc. 5. Run Mini-Baseline test (30-60 minutes) 6. One-shot test: Full up flight instrument baseline test Inteference test: 1. Test with brassboard, run TBD commands or functional test 2. Test with Flight Instrument, run TBD commands or functional test GSE software to be tested: 1. TM telemetry software 2. STOL commanding translator FT to arrange for 2 IP addresses from Gabrielle Griffith (240-228-8207) 1. Pink room for standalone IP 2. GSE room IP address GSE Equipment: 1. Sun WS 2. Terminal 3. PC 4. Terminal 5. Brassboard 6. Printer GSE will be brought back to GSFC. Security Issues: 1. How do we get the hardware in? What kind of paperwork necessary? 2. How do we gain access to the test area? Any security concerns? Shipping documents: John Westberg - fill out 20-4. FT to ask Marie Stevens 240-228-5289 about shipping documents and security issues. Brassboard needs to have property paper to indicate transfer property to APL Email to Marie ECN numbers and the type of equipment. MC reports they have done preliminary check out on power connectors. JM indicated power connectors as most important check. Pyro connector checked out (right voltage at the right pins). Pyro pulse on 100ms. Pyros will be put into dummy connector, no promises on terminating it. MC indicated fuses will be used to test pyros. JM may tack on light bulb. Heaters testing TBD.
